Halloween Post

Obligatory post for any goth blogger. I always wanted to do proper glitter sugar skull makeup, but again I'm not fully satisfied how it turned out. Also, I can't remember having a good time at a Halloween party since like 2014.

Tipps on What to Wear to a Festival, the Non-Cliche Way! (Accessories Edition)

With the Coachella all over the internet starting the whole festival season I decided to do a post about what to wear to festivals and outdoor concerts, without falling into the whole boho cliche. 

OK, there MIGHT be some slightly hippy-dippy items, but they're unavoidable for summer I guess. This was supposed to be one post, but I got a little carried away with the accessories part, so now I'm doing them first, since I think they're the key part to any look, especially festival look.

As far as I'm concerned, you could just wear a simple lace black skater dress (yeah, I know it attracts the sun and all that, but I refuse to believe that) AND it's the most appropriate color if you're gonna sit on the grass or wherever in nature) and add some of these accessories and be the belle of the festiv(b)all. 

Maybe even catch the attention of the prince (i.e. lead singer) who wouldn't want that?!

Here are some of my suggestions, if you want to stand out among thousands of girls out there:

1. Boho-bling- in the form of a statement necklace, slave bracelet, or an Indian princess hair ornament. I do love some Oriental pieces, but only if they bling, of course.

2. Hair colors/ extensions- now's the time to stand out and have fun, so why not try a hair color you'd never have considered before. There are many ways to achieve this: hair chalks, mascaras or just putting on a hair extension for the night (or permanently, like myself)

3, False eye lashes, body paint, eye glitter, eyeliner tattoos, hair bling-... possibilities are endless, and it's time to go a little bold and experiment with your look!

4. Flash tattoos and body chains- did you think I'd forget these? I hope this trend never ends! Thank you Rihanna and Beyonce!

5. Cat/animal ears- always a cute and not so flashy way to stand out, if you're more into kawaii stuff

6. Concert bracelets- can I be more obvious?!

Mermaids are mythical sea creatures that have always been fascinating to ordinary people. They are a major inspiration for this season’s fashion trend, characterized with over-the-top look heavily loaded with sequins, glitter and hair dyed in bright colours. This fabulous look is a combination of metallic materials with a lot of sequins and shiny details. Mermaids in the Fashion Industry

Even the world’s most respected designers drew inspiration from this kind of look. It all started by embracing a literal mermaid look, with the most glamorous fishtail dresses and fish scale appliqés. Karl Lagerfeld modernized this look in 2012, introducing a slightly softer mermaid look by using lace, pearls and ruffles. Givenchy came up with captivating flared sequined skirts, whereas Atelier Versace took this trend to the next level by creating sheer and sexy gowns.

Celebrity Mermaids

This trend really caught on among the celebrities, starting with Kylie Jenner who has changed a lot of hair colours before deciding to go aqua blue. Hilary Duff’s dark green shade looks very glamorous and slightly edgy at the same time, whereas Gigi Hadid opted for turquoise tips only. There is also Katy Perry who also changes her hair colour very frequently, but the fact is that lilac locks really compliment her fair skin complexion. Britney Spears even went a little bit extreme, since she allowed her son to dye his hair in the same rainbow tone she chose for herself.

This fabulous look is definitely not everyone’s cup of tea, and only the most eccentric ones can actually pull it off. However, there are many good reasons for the craziness related to this fabulous trend. If you are up for something different and unusual, awaken your inner mermaid and be in the centre of attention everywhere you show up.

Last Weekend in Pics + Some New MakeUp

No great weekend starts without coffee. I had only 2 hours to sleep on Friday, so I needed at least 3 of these daily :)

I spent the last weekend in my weekend cottage, that I showed you in one of my previous posts. Again, I posted most of these pics on my Instagram, but decided to post them all together here as well. We also visited the Silver Lake where we had lunch with my relatives (you can see I got many lovely presents from them), and Golubac Fortress, to see the progress. It says on the sight that the fortress should be done by april 2016, so expect new pics :) Also, I went to check out the Bajka guesthouse, but I'm saving those pics for a special post. :)
